Qlikview upgrade to 12.20 Latest version

Hi All,

I am planning to upgrade qlikview server from 12.10 to 12.20 Latest version.

I have gone through the help section, i found some answers, however, I would want some detailed document to prepare the upgrade and migrate.

1. where do i find the release notes of the latest version.

2. anyone has a document with full upgrade process.

3. What are the major things to do post upgrade.

4. How do i restore the existing publisher tasks.

Please share your ideas.

very much appreciated.

Regards

Renji

Since it is not a major version upgrade, you will not have to migrate any tasks, run the installer in any computer you want to upgrade and that's pretty much it.

Of course, as with any upgrade of a server with valuable data, backup data and config before doing anything.

The release notes are in the same download site, and any further instructions will be in those release notes and in the official site help at https://help.qlik.com (e.g.: new settings or commands available).

Hi,

a small tip to read the article before migration:

"QlikView November 2017: Failing reloads and BNF script reload mode" at https://qliksupport.force.com/articles/Basic/Sense-Failing-reloads-and-BNF-script-reload-mode

///$bnf off       at the beginning of Main

@markovalexsey  Hi there, do you have an updated link(s) for this?  I had a community member write in that the links don't work since moving?  Thanks. Feel free to ping me via skype or teams.

This one should do the trick, @Sue_Macaluso : Sense: Failing reloads and BNF script reload mode (kb 000036003)

That is the one that was originally linked there, but it is for Sense. Same applies for QlikView and I suppose is more relevant for this thread: QlikView November 2017: Failing reloads and BNF script reload mode (kb 000042307)
