Yes Manoj, you can install all together on one system. For 8 GB data size you can surely start with 8 gb server, but later you would need to increase RAM based on data model and applicaiton sized.

Hi ,

I notice in one of the quotes I received from one of the vendor we are interacting with that there is server 1 ( having full installation of Qlikview server) and server 2(running distribution service) . Do I need to have actually a separate server for running distribution service ? Can't this be implemented in the same server if I go for a 32 MB RAM . Also want to check if it is possible to implement the qlikview inside the intranet without buying a publisher license and without using publishing server ?Can it be run in the client server mode?

Yes Manoj, it is very well possible to run it all on one server. It basically depends how much of resources you need for the size of reporting job you may have. Another point is you can always make changes to your landscape later on based on how you grow your QV environment. You don't have to smart with big approach always.

Whether 16 GB or 32 GB, it all depends of size of the data you need to load for your number of applications.

Regarding publisher, QlikView comes with standard version of publisher included. The one you can buy additionally is enterprise version of it with lots of cool functions - especially for enterprise-wide reporting and report distribution. The standard version (included) of publisher allows you to access your QV reports over IE of Java or AJAX clients. It has a portal (called Access Point) where user can login and see/access all the reports he/sh can see/access.

Hope I provided you some useful information.
