Quick question

Hi!

We are upgrading our Qlikview server hardware soon. Would appreciate some advice on the below topics before diving in pls.

1) What is recommended, physical or Virtual server?

2) Does anyone know if there is an assessment tool of sorts to assist with projected sizing and hardware requirements (RAM,CPU,DISK,NETWORK)

3) Is the licensing in any way tied to the amount of physical sockets your server has? Our old server has 2 sockets and 4 cores, will the old license work?

Thank you.

Hi,

You really need to get with your account manager and talk with them about what you want to do. They have resources that can help determine what you might need when it comes to the hardware and what you might need to watch out for.
