Repetitive opening dataclouds slows down opening of the datacloud.

We have a Qlikview server (v8.5 sp6) with about 500 dataclouds. On normal daily bases about 20 dataclouds are opened over the internet. We've noticed something strange. When a datacloud is reopened again (after being closed) it takes much longer to display the content in the browser. Sometimes it even takes too long and a time-out occurs.

To me this seems strange, because the datacloud itself is still in memory on the QlikView server.

My questions:

  • Is this normal behavior?
  • Is there a setting to prevent this
  • Has this been solved in a newer version of the QlikView server?

TIA,
Kees

Check if you've some memory problem or if your server is running on paging file.
