Server Upgrade from 11.2 SR2 to SR7

Hello,

I have spent a couple of hours reading information on how to do this and it looks fairly straightforward.

These are the steps i think i need to undertake :-

1. ensure clean Backup of current servers

2. Download Qlikview 64 bit Server 11.2 SR7

3.Stop running services on Server1 and 2

4. Install SR7 "over" existing SR2 release on both servers

5. restart appropriate services as stopped in 3

Is this over simplistic?

Have i missed something ?

Any help gratefully received.

I agree, it is straightforward, just a minor recommendation is to reboot whole machine, instead of restarting the services.

The only other thing I would recommend doing, when upgrading to SR 7, is enabling the Task Performance Summary.

The following information is taken directly from the QlikView 11.2 Build 12451 SR 7 Release Notes:

1.3.3 Task performance summary

New task performance summary added that will provide information about the amount of RAM used, CPU and QVB elapsed time.

Information is to be used for planning and troubleshooting purposes.

Setting up:

The task performance summary can be activated by setting the EnableQVBProcessSummary to 1 in the QVB Settings.ini file. Default location of the QVB Settings.ini file:

C:\Windows\system32\config\systemprofile\AppData\Roaming\QlikTech\QlikViewBatch

Note: The last row in the ini file needs to be blank.
