Take Ownership of Collaborated Objects

I have users who want to create objects in a controlled "ad-hoc" environment through Open In Server. When I sign onto the server and go into the QSMC, I can take ownership of the object. But when i open a client to view the object, I don't see it.

Does anyone have an idea on why this might be, or ways to capture the properties of the objects that my end users are creating? (we're running version 8.5)

Maybe I'm missing it. Where does a user Share the object? I've never worked with that on a List Box or Charts...only Bookmarks and Reports.

Sorry, was a bit too quick: the object need to be declared by the creator as "shared", then you as Admin open the application in server, copy it, open the application for editing, and paste it.
Made this quite frequently.

UREKA....It's the Collaborative Toolbar that allows the objects to be shared (which had been hidden and we never utilized due to production being locked down)
