Hello All,
Our client deployed a two servers, 'Active-Passive' QlikView servers configuration using Windows Failover cluster. It has the External Storage for its QlikView Documents. Every time there's a fault and transfers the QlikView services to the 'Passive' server, they will copy some task schedules, metadata files, etc. (files from the [AppDataFolder] or c:\ProgramData\QlikTech\...) to the 'Passive'. Since it's laborious and time consuming, they want the [AppDataFolder] relocated or transfered to the External Storage.
Is it possible? Does anybody tried this type of setup? Please help.
Thanks in advance.
BR,
Jason ^^
why not make userdocument or mounted folder assign to both server.
for example d:\data\qlikview at server Server1 then on other server
Server1\d$\data\qlikview
no, what i mean is, see below image:
is it possible to transfer some (if not all) of the folders in the C:\ProgramData\QlikTech\ to another location, say in the external storage? Because some of the tasks, and metadata are not synced, that everytime they want to activate the "Passive" server, they will copy some files from that folder of the 'Active' to the "Passive" server.
