Upgradation of QliView Server/Publisher to the latest version

Hi Folks

We're planning to upgrade QlikView Server and Publisher from version 11 SR1 to 11SR5.

Hence I would like to know the impact of below.

1. Will the licenses(Named CALs and Doc CALS) be lost?

2. Will the exsisting settings of source folders of QlikView Server and Publisher be lost?

3 Will the existing LDAP settings be lost?

4. Will the existing QlikView Publisher Jobs be lost?

Pls advise me on the impact of above.

Hi Surendra

The upgrade from 11.2 SR1 (is it 11.2 you have?) to 11.2 SR5 is painless. All your settings and objects should not be effected.

Take a backup, just in case

The version of QlikView Server we've is

11.00.11282.0

So that is version is release 11.0 SR1.

You should still be fine with upgrading. It is upgrading from versions 9 & 10 that present problems.

But dont forget the backup.

I've another question here.

Does upgrading QlikView Server also covers QlikView Publisher upgradation? or do I neet to download QlikView Publisher and upgrade it too?

Publisher is included in the server install. It is just inactive until it is licensed.
