Upgrade from SR 5 to SR

Hi ,

I have below server Build number . I assume this is currently SR5 .

	Product name	QMS Backend Core x64
		Client Build Number	11.20.12235.0
		Target Platform	x64

I want to upgrade to SR13.

What would be the required step to Achieve this . I have downloaded the SR13 relase from Qlikview site for Server.

how will the upgradation happens .

Make a backup of your server first. Then install the new release.

The installation executable will handle all the steps you need.

Just make sure to make a reliable backup before starting.

quick question might sound lil slilly .

firstly.The executable need to be kept at a particular location or I can run it from desktop.

Secondly . If the Upgrade doesn't go as planned how can I restore it to previous version .

If you´re using a virtual machine, I would make a snapshot, a rollback would be pretty simple.

If you´re using a physical machive, uninstall previous version (using Control Panel), install the previous version, and copy any files (.pgo, .ini, etc) you have backup
