Using Customer Users and DMS, the document Authorization Tab does not appear.

Having setup a Custom Directory thanks to this detailed example (see link below), we can now log into the server. http://community.qlik.com/forums/p/24005/92144.aspx#92144

Setting DMS Authorization does not apply and reverts to NTFS, which results in the Documents not getting an authorization tab and when we log in, we see none of the QVW files that are available.

Do we need to setup another Directory Service Connector URL than this default http://localhost:4730/qtds.asmx?

Or is there another way to activate DMS so that we can make Documents available to the users?

Thanks in advance,

Taq

We are running Qlikview Server 9.0.7320.7

Extra information: We do not have the publisher license, but from what I understand, one should be able to use Custom Users without the Publisher, right?

if the qvs automatically reverts DMS to NTFS it might be prohibited by the license.

Ahh, our license looks like this:

DISABLE_AJAX;YES;;
DISABLE_COLLABORATION;YES;;
DISABLE_DMS;YES;;
FORCE_AUTHENTICATION;YES;;
NUMBER_OF_USERCALS;20;;
PRODUCTLEVEL;10;;2010-09-01

You mean the DISABLE_DMS:YES is prohibiting it?

Strange, because AJAX works for us even if it says "DISABLE_AJAX;YES".

yes, disable_dms:yes disables dms. why ajax works is strange though. seems like a bug.

According to QlikTech, aparently, the new version of Qlikview (R2 onwards) ignores some of these flags.

So DMS could be enabled. And AJAX could be enabled. It depends on the license key.

Its a little frustrating with non-reliable statuses, but for now, it seems to work for us.

Thanks,
