What does the status "warning" in general mean

Hi,

I sometimes see scheduled tasks in the Management Console give the status of 'warning'. Can someone provide a general description of what this indicates?

Thanks,

Scott

Did the task complete successfully? Is there anything in the log file for that report that might provide a clue? I have only seen three different statuses which include 'Waiting, Running or Failed'

I got a warning in a task that waited for a database answer for a very long time but the task finished without real 'erros'

If there are warnings you should be able to find more information in the Task Logs

(By default in C:\ProgramData\QlikTech\DistributionService\1\Log)

Hi,

If there is no "task finished succesfully" on the last line, consider the task failed.

Saw some really weird cases when conenction to database timed out, or there were insuficient permissions to publish the QVW file. All resulting in warnings but no error message. Or the load just crashed and file never finishes -> there is no success line

I get Warnings on my scheduled loads all the time. I asked QlikView Support what was going on but they are useless. The log file is as equally unhelpful:

Warning The task "****.qvw" finished with warnings. WarningCount=2

And no - I don't get a "task finished successfully" message, but yet it did complete successfully. It usually happens on the last stage of the load - when the qvw file is being saved or something.

Something always could go wrong. Sometimes we counted how many recipients are configured in QEMC, versus how many are applied to the file itself. There were differences. Expired ActiveDirectory accounts ?
