connection problem with an application on Windows 7 IE8 but not for all users

I have an application with the IE plug-in to install.

Users can connect to the application except two who were before.

Everything is ok server side and then I dry.

The plug-in is installed (or seems installed) but when the user clicks the application icon in the Access Point, nothing happens.

Hi PM,

For the users that are having issues, open their IE and check the "Compatibility View Settings" and make sure "Display intranet sites in Compatibility View" is checked. Also make sure they are launching the correct version of IE (not the no add-ons version)

Hope that helps,

Jason

2 more things to try:

1. When the Access Point is open, click on Page, Compatibility View in the top right hand corner

2. Re-install the IE plugin by right clicking on the executable and choosing "Run as an Administrator"

Thank you for your help.

I found. Using IE is C: \ Program Files (x86) \ Internet Explorer \ iexplore.exe it work.

The user has a shortcut on the IE that is under C: \ Program Files \ Internet Explorer \ iexplore.exe

Therefore, it now uses 32 bits instead of 64 bits.
