"Document Path" sort option removed in QV 11 AccessPoint?

Hi

we'd like to sort by document path in access point, as we have lots of documents and the doc-overview is just better with this sorting option.

Where has this gone with QV 11 Access Point? Any idea how to re-apply this in QV 11?

Thanks - Marcel

I have looked and this had been but in as a bug. However, the bug was closed as this is working as designed. Not sure if they will do anything in the future to change this. You might but this in as a feature request.

It's a pain.

I really like to have the old QV 10 AccessPoint back, inluding the document path. Document path was the best way to structure the AccessPoint content, as it automatically corresponded to the (project-driven) folder structures of the source documents.

This is key functionality, especially when hosting multiple environments on a single server.  I am utterly flabbergasted that they have just removed it.  Sigh.  Hopefully we're missing some setting somewhere... but I won't be holding my breath!

I am just wondering why is it working as designed (designed by whom?). I would be killed if I remove some functionality on which my customer rely on because it is in the system so I do not get why different rules apply in case of QV development.

I would think that category or Attribute would be a better options than paths.

Bill, but that forces you to enter a category for each document you have. Some companies have hundreds.

I see that easier than trying to remember a path. This way you can group the documents per divisions or operational centers. Also, now when people are clustering servers they aren't using multiple paths as much.

Also, you can always request it back.

I see that, but only 9 votes since April last year.
