qvw application Failed to load

Hi,

When i open my application with QV version 11 I encounter the following error:

"Failed to load"  and then the next message is :" Failed to open document".

Then I tried to open it without data but the same errors happen.

How can I open my QVW application which is really an emergency situation.

Hi,

Are you using section access and the NTNAME field? Is there any chance that you have been locked out?

I dont use any section access.

I have the liscence and no problem with the other QV applications.

I suppose that the file crashed when I did use windows task manager to kill its process when running!!!

Hi,

Yes, that may be one of the issues. In case of section access, is not unsual to get locked out if some settings are checked in the Document Properties. But if that is not your case, then I'd bet for a corrupted file.

The size of this file is near 1.5 Gigabytes which I can not upload it now. This file was created with QV 9.0 and it is near 6 months that QV version has been changed into 11.0.

Anyway, is there any soloution to open a corrupted file??

Hi,

I'd try uninstalling version 11 and reinstalling version 9, and try to open the document in Desktop. If that works, then is a compatibility issue, although the QVW file format should open just fine in version 11.

If the file is actually corrupted, I'm afraid there is no way to open it.

Anyway, try the reinstallation of version 9 in any case.
