.shared file

Hi All,

I am currently facing an issue. I have explained the issue in detail below.

There is one application which I have distributed to the accesspoint based on company (i.e., it is distributed like XXX AE, XXX APAC, XXX EMEA, XXX Global & so on). In this only XXX EMEA and XXX Global files alone shows like "No Preview available" image in Accesspoint portal. When we tried to open the application it throws an error "File corrupted".

I have checked in forum and got few solutions like "Delete files (.qvw,.meta & .shared) in accesspoint folder & distribute again". But still the problem exists.

As I deleted the shared files when I again distribute the files the shared file is not created again.

Kindly help me to create the shared file for that application again and how to resolve the file corrupted error?

Please help me in this.

Awaiting for your solutions.

Thanks,

Leni Balakrishnan

The QVW and teh .shared file name must be same. Could you check?

As said before, the .shared file is not re-created at distribution, but created when the document is first opened by a user and populated when users add bookmarks or objects in the document as clients to the server. So, if you don't have any backup of the .shared file you deleted, the content of that .shared file must be considered lost. The .shared file is a persistent storage location, not a temporary entity, and must be backed up just like thje .qvw file it belongs to.

However, if your .qvw file is corrupt, not much might be possible to do. It's rarely we see .qvw going corrupted, so (again, as said before) try opening the .qvw in a local developer. If that does not work, consider restoring a backup.

Hi Stefan,

The qvw file distributed to the accesspoint was corrupted but not the original document.

Hi,

It is quite strange if the file is getting corrupted every time when you are distribting the report . In this case you can contact the qliktech guys directly. They can provide you the exact solution or if this is some kind of bug then they will response accordingly.

Thanks,

Are you able to Open the same Application  in Developer tool ??

If Yes then I suggest delete all files instead of qvw,

restart all the services or machine

Give a try

I think it's a Bug ..

try to restart the services

delete all shared file/logs files get generated in that folder

rename the application

open application reload it and save it.

see if lucky then enjoy  ur day
