very rare stuck reloads in the qmc

Hello,

Has anyone experienced once in a long while a reload getting stuck in the qmc?

What I do when this occurs is restart the Distribution Service.  Just curious if anyone else has this problem.

Thanks,

Michael

Same here, it looks like happened randomly, but most of them stuck at storing QVD file.

Not sure it is related to the latest changes on store encrypted QVD.....

Hello all,

Not sure what version you are using and what the symptoms look like exactly, but maybe this helps?

Tasks stuck after upgrade to QlikView April 2020

Thanks, I am on Apr 2020 so let me try to change the settings and see if that improved.

Thanks Everyone,

I will continue to monitor.  It seems to mostly occur when I am running a reload every hour.

If I only run reloads daily I don't seem to have the problem.

I would recommend turning on the script/document logs on the app that is having the issue such that when it hangs again, you can check to see where things are in the log, as that should provide some clues.  About the only workaround of which I have would be to use the Task Timeout setting, which defaults to 24 hours, down to a lower value such that if it has not finished within the average time plus a buffer, it is killed by the QDS and then you could also set retries to have it restart again, or if it is hourly, just let it start again on the next cycle.  The other thing I would check is Windows Task Manager and the Processes tab and be sure you do not have any QVB processes that are hung/stuck there, as depending on what those may be, they may have locks on some other things etc.  About all of which I can think.

Regards,
Brett

As two weeks over, I didn't experience same issue again.

Thus, I guess the trick did help.

Thanks a lot Dude.
