Country Data

Here is a small QVD-file and a QVW that contains country information data.

Useful to quickly pull into a app if you need some additional dimensions or want to get a quick conversation between country names and ISO codes.

Fields included:

Country Name

ISO 2 Alpha

ISO 3 Alpha

ISO Numerical

Currency Name

Currency Code

Currency Symbol (UTF-8 charset needed)

Flag (Maps against the image files in the flags folder. Every image is 30x30 pixels in size)

In addition also GDP and Population data. Data is from the world bank as of 2012.

GDP in $M

Population in thousands

Actually I'm creating a currencysymbols qvd similar to yours but when I then load from it I see there are some missing symbols. I load this qvd from a sql query (which I already verified the symbols are in the db) and stored it like this:

STORE CurrencySymbols into ..\Generic\CurrencySymbols.qvd (qvd);

I compared my qvd with yours and I see your qvd keeps some symbols that I don't.

Is there something special you do to generate your Countries.qvd?
