Handling Multiple Calendars.qvw

Generic calendar generation script and front end implementation example that enables scalable handling of creating and navigating multiple date fields.

It serves the purpose of:

- enabling calendar generation against any date field with a single line of code (a sub routine call)

- easily flip between different calendars by a metadata picker.

- plotting metrics against a common time line where two or more different aspects of time underpin the timeline (e.g. orders by order month and deliveries by delivery month, both plotted against a common "month-year" time axis)

Here's a 'AsOf' Calendar script which makes set analysis very simple which may also be of use and can be used in conjunction with this method.

Thanks for the script.  I want to create a dimension key called "Period" by concatenating the year and month into a single number.  For example, October 2011 will be stored as 201110.  How can I do this within the calendar script you availed.

Regards.
