Multiple ways to Hide & Show Datapoints on Charts(With & Without Macro)

Hi,
You may come across some requirements to show and hide the data points in qlikview charts. This can be done by multiple ways. I have created a document on how to achieve this with and without macros.

Attached the document and qlikview application with example and explanation.

Find the attachment and comment it.

Thanks.

You can simply use this

=vShowDatapoints

in Expression -> Show Value

Change the value of vShowDatapoint to 0 or 1 on button click, this will show/hide the Data points.

Jagan.

Yes Jagan, but that will hide all the data points on all bars. In case if there is a requirement to show data points based on some conditions to show on some bar values only, you can use the (show value) method.
To hide all the data points, you can use the other methods.

Hi,

Just adding this to your explanation we can also simply use a conditional statement like this

=Country = 'India' AND vShowDatapoints

All the methods you have mentioned are working, but this one is very simpler.

jagan.
