Open Street Map tiles as dynamic background

Hi,

after may old Open Street Map example has stopped working because of the retirement of the server http://tah.openstreetmap.org

I created a new one using with a HTML file including the JavaScript lib from http://cloudmade.com to display OSM tiles (see attached files).

The HTML file is displayed with the website extension under the scatter chart. So, you have to turn the on web view.

I don't know why but the application isn't working after uploading into this QlikCommunity document.

Thanks for putting this together.  we are using QlikView 10.0 SR1.  I've tried using your document, but the map never loads.  After the load failed, I tried changing the "plot area background" to a dynamic image, simply inputting "http://s3-eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/tiq-solutions/QlikView-Examples/tiles.cloudmade.example.html?lat=2..." URL and confirming the transparency was set to 0.  Still the map did not load.

As another test, I simply input the above URL in Chrome and the map loaded perfectly.  As a final test, I input the URL into Internet Explorer version 8.0 and the map loaded perfectly.  I'm absolutely confused...any ideas on what I'm doing incorrectly?

HI Jeff,

this will not work this way because the website displays 3x3 images (tiles). It would only work if the URL would give back one image. But, tile images are too small for this.

Anyways, it works on my site with v10. Just turn on the webview. Sometimes openening from explorer with doubleclick leads into an empty page. Open the app from QlikView's file menu.

Btw, here is a newer example using Foursquare date via Infochimps API:

Now I made a real extension object out of it:

Please try it out.
