As with any other command-line tool, you can use the default help parameters to explore command-line options and parameters, in this case any of -?, /? -h or /h.

I'll paste the help here for transparency:

QvSharedFileViewer, (c) QlikTech

Usage: QvSharedFileViewer source-qvw-file [options] [target xml file]

Options:

-exportall         Exports all objects to XML

-exportbookmarks   Exports only bookmark objects to XML

Examples:

   Open a file:

      QvSharedFileViewer "C:\MyFolder\MyFile.qvw"

   Export all objects:

      QvSharedFileViewer "C:\MyFolder\MyFile.qvw" -EXPORTALL "C:\MyOutputFolder\MyObjects.xml"

   Export bookmarks:

      QvSharedFileViewer "C:\MyFolder\MyFile.qvw" -EXPORTBOOKMARKS "C:\MyOutputFolder\MyBookmarks.xml"

This help is accessible via -?, /? -h or /h.

It has not been tested. Given that the different format between 10 and 11.X in reload schedules was the reason this tool was released, I would say it serves little to no purpose in a 11.20 environment.

Is there a way to use qv-user-manager.exe --remove cal, with less time inactive than 30 days?

Thanks!

Hi Stefan,

We have a case where we need to migrate bookmarks for all the users.

We have thousands of bookmarks to migrate.

There is a change between old bookmark and new bookmark.

Is there any .net assemblyavailable for writing a bookmark?

Thanks,

Rajesh Vaswani

Hi Stefan,

I am novice in using of Power Tools.

I had Qlikview User Manager(Power Tools).

My Qlikview server had NTFS authorization setting.

With the help of Power Tools I want to assign the Named Cal and Doc Cal to Some Domain users.

With the help of following script I can view the list of user assigned the Name cal, etc.

qv-user-manager.exe --list cal

But I cannot assign the Name cal or Doc Cal. Or remove the Name Cal or Doc Cal.

For assign the Name cal, following Script I had used from command prompt.

qv-user-manager.exe --add cal domain1\user1

On running the above script following message appear

Nothing to add on QVS@Qliksrvprod

Where Domain1        = Domain name

user1              = User name in Domain

Qlikserverprod  = Qlikview Server Machine Name

Please let me know where I am wrong. Or suggest me the script. It will great if get quick response.

It will be also great If I get the script to assign Doc Cal, removal of Doc cal of particular user from particular Document.

Regards

SS
