QlikView Server Installation Step by Step

Hi Visitors,

This document will describe the installation and configuration process for QlikView Server 11.2 Service Release 4. At the end of this process, you should have a QlikView Server installed and configured in Window Server 2008 R2 Enterprise with IIS 7.

Regards,

Sokkorn

Hi,

thanks for that really good step by step guide.

I changed a already existing QV installtion by using this guide from QlikView WebServer usage to IIS 7.5 Usage. Or better i tried it.

All is running fine, but the login form a other host to the "http://hostname/Qlikview/" page is not possible.

If I'm using just for test the Server itself and connect to http://localhost/QlikView all is fine.

But if I'm using the URL "http://hostname/Qlikview/" the user / password dialog is displayed. And if i do enter the data and return the dialog comes up again.

Does somebody have a idea what the problem is ?

If I'm using Firefox instead the IE is working well from all locations.

Thanks & Regards

Michael

maybe we should try reset IE settings?

If Internet Explorer runs in High Secure mode is necessary to add the host name and local host to the trusted zone.

Hi all,

I found the solution.

Problem was the order of the provider for the Windows Authentication.

The First entry was Negotiate -> but the user is not configured for that.

The Next entry is NTLM. I just moved NTLM to the top and now it's working fine.

Thanks.

Regards

Michael

Hi  Sokkom,

I am another QVS installer that learned your doc by heart. My recent experience was this:

I am installing QVS at a multinational corporation with a "do not touch" IT infrastructure. They provided an existing Widows 8 32bit server that had already Framework 3.5 (could not uninstall) and no IIS. I enabled IIS upgraded to Framework 4.0 and I am having issues with tunneling and accessing Management Console. When I tried to run aspnet.regiis.exe -i I got an error stating that this was a non valid command.

Also I noticed that the tunneling maps port: 4747 to 80, in my installation Management Console responds to 4780.

That's all for today any ideas will be much appreciated.

Regards
