Thanks Stephen! I've been working with the design of several dashboards using Alternate States and think your suggestions here will be the most 'used and useful' for our management team. For me the 'simply because I can' exctiement of creating multiple states, and the options that freedom provides -- can lead to visualizations and list box overload for many users accustomed to more restrictive spreadsheet views of their data. Your demonstration qvw has clear labeling and is structured very well for that user group. Your text -- QlikView for Developer's Cookbook -- is fabulous and should be required reading for all Qlik developers. Thanks again!
