QlikView documentation and resources.
The attached example shows how to build a nested set based on a hierarchical data structure and its visualization on a scatter chart.
sorry for my late response. This is a Qlikview-document. The migration to Qlik-Sense doesn't convert the layout as described within the documentation.
QV11 SR12 fixes the scatter chart. Qlik broke the functionality in between version 'upgrades'. This is in response to the April message from Sven.
Thanks for sharing documents,I have tried this application with my data but it's working only for single dimension what if I have two level hierarchy like I want to show states and city relationship like, State A is having 3 Cities a,b and c and likewise State B is having 2 cities d and e.In this case what should be the structure of code can anybody tell.
I think you will need an adjacency list like:
a -> A
b -> A
c -> A
d -> B
e -> B
but please understand, that I can't spend time on customisation this application for individual requirements
Its really useful.
Earlier I had QlikView 11.2SR 7 and the chart was comming up but currently I am using QlikView 11.2SR 10 and now the chart displays an error that Drawing of Chart failed internally.
Is it because of updating the version?
Kindly help me with this.
please have a look at
This is definitely a good read. Now, I just have to find a good use for it in a dashboard I'm working on.
Excellent piece of work here. As this has been long since this post has been created, I am using it now for one of my Tree Structure.
I wanted to end up the Tree, like a diamond structure, where the last node is common to its above 3 Parent Node.
From my Data below, I want CPA (single node/bubble) should be connected to RDC1, RDC2, RDC3. However my script creates 3 different CPA bubbles (i don't want this). I have attached the image below on how I am getting 3 different CPA bubbles (I don't want this).
Please help here, how a single CPA bubble can be created that connects to RDC1, RDC2, RDC3?
Thanks in advance.

Hi Dicky Mohanty,
within a tree data structure, each node has at most one parent. This post deals exclusively with the visualization of this kind of data structures. In your case, you have to look for some graph-visualisation technics and afaik, there is no native opportunity, but you can search the community for "graph extension" and find a plenty of posts.
If you need commercial support doing such visualisations, leave me a note.
Best regards and happy new year
Thanks for the useful information.
