Controlling a slider through play button

Hi All

I want to use a functionality in qlikview which is when we should have a 'Play' button in our application and when we click on that button the slider should start sliding on the specified dimension in the slider and the data on the graphs should move accordingly. Is it possible to do, if yes then how?

Use the "Animated dimension" feature.

In your chart, go to "Dimensions" tab, add the "Time" dimension, promote it to the top, press "Animate" button and configure the animation.

The Animate dimension option only works in the IE Plugin though.

If you need a solution for the ajax client Stefan Walther has created a very nice animated scatter plot as an extension.

I installed the .qar file but when i am trying to run the application, it is giving me an error. Refer to the attached screenshot.

Hi, in your chart, under dimension tab. at the bottom click on Animate button ansd check animate first dimension and click ok. This will help you to slide using play button. Regards, siva

Most likely you are running an older version of IE, such as IE6 to 8, or you have QV11 SR1 installed.

I tried to open it through Google chrome also but is still not working on the browser side.
