Few questions

Hi,

I am currently evaluating Qlikview and i have a few unanswered questions i am hoping someone here will  help me with.

  1. Flexibility of API – can we have bi-directional communication between QV and hosting application
    • If i integrated qlikview into a .Net application, is it possible to pass messages (data, events) between qlikview and the hosting application?
  2. Can QV cache the data on user machine or once machine runs out of memory then it just crashes? Qlikview loads entire dataset in memory and the datasets am looking at may not fit into users' machines' memory. Is there a work around to this?
  3. Is there an SDK to provide for extensibility of QV
  4. Are workflows supported in qlikview?

1) you can do something with the OCX/Javascript API. If you are using the QV Client you can search in the communtity the "API Guide.qvw "file that can help you to understand well what you can do.

2) With QV Server, all documents are loaded by server side so the user's computer doesn't need to be "powerfull". The client is just a "terminal server".

3) Yes you can find it on the community.
