Is there Any way to connect Tableau to QlikView Server?

Hi Buddies,

I am in a situation where a hardware/software package utilizes QlikView as part of its overall system; however, the data analytics team uses Tableau. Is there any way to connect a QlikView server to Tableau?

I  know very little about Qlikview so the obvious solution may be staring at me in the face.

Hi Natasha! Did you find out somehow a way to solve that issue? I am in your exact same situation and just aknowledging that it is possible to do would be a big relieve for me. I'm sorry that you got no answers but I hope you solved... thank you for your reply (I know its been 4 years but I am a positive person to believe you are still around XD)

As you own QlikView Server, you likely already have a solution for your business needs.  I suggest you contact your Qlik account team and discuss what your goals are with them.  They can provide you with options to meet your business needs.

with this i connect qlik to qlik... @rbecher demonstrates that it is also possible for tableau... but then again... not sure it's really sustainable to have Qlik and Tableau in  the same playground...

Yes, you can connect Tableau to QlikView but not directly. A common approach is to extract data from QlikView to QVD (QlikView Data) files, then use a third-party tool or connector (e.g., Qlik ODBC Connector Package) to convert QVDs into a format Tableau can read. Once converted, you can load that data into Tableau. It might be worth checking with your IT team or consulting QlikView documentation for specifics.
