Google Maps Extension with Cluster support.

Introduction

This is a QlikView extension object that integrates Google Maps Javascript API V3 and a third party library called MarkerClusterPlus into QlikView.

Load a set a coordinates into QlikView and visualize them together with this extension. The clustering feature is create when you have alot of data points and needs to group/cluster them together for greater visability and performance.

The maxzoom property defines at what zoom level you want your markers clustered. The grid size property controls how big or small cluster grid size you want.

You can either use the extension 'as is' or use it as a base to further customize it to fit your needs.

There has been numerous upgrades to the extension.

Now clusters now display the value of your expression and with added support to include more information in pop-up labels.

Example grayscale styled map included.

Possibility to show only a single cluster icon style if you do not want it to scale according to the number of markers in the cluster.

Added custom marker support. Now you can specify a url for an custom marker. Accepts all major image file types.

I did try that before. The first few times, nothing shows up in the Latitude etc. field. This time, some progress: I see a field name next to Latitude, but it's the wrong field. I clicked the dropdown, no other fields are displayed.. Is there a way to attaché my Excel file this message? Thank you.

After swapping Latitude and Longitude column in Excel, it worked! Yay Thanks a lot for all your help! I appreciate it.

Hi People,

I am using the Aug'13 version of the ClusterMap extension. It is not possible for me to upgrade at this moment.

I've been facing this issue that along with the pop-up information window, the HTML code also pops up in a separate window.

I don't want the HTML code to pop-up as well, is there any way to hide the same.

Any help would be much appreciated

You could edit the script.js file on your own and remove the title property for markers. That should suppress any on hover effects.

Hi Alexander,

I am quite new in the QlikView world but I am playing a lot with it nowadays. I've tried your app and it is amazing! Honestly is one of the best map extension for Qlikview. I just created some fun dashboard and I've showed to my boss. Not surprisingly he really liked it and we think would like to use your application. Has any charge or price of use it or it is free? I was reading couple of topics on the internet but I am confused now a little bit because I was reading sometimes that Google Map extensions are free sometimes was reading it is not? Could you please let me know about your application that is free to use or not?

Hey Tom,

So the extension is free. However Google usually requires a license fee to use their map service in a commercial setting. They define it as if you deploy a map that is not accessible by the general public you should purchase a license.

I don't know how they price things nowadays so you best bet is to drop Google and e-mail so they could quote you a price.

Hi, Is there any addicional tutorial/video to understand what is required additionally to the extension to visualize the map?

I'm a newby and I have tried to use it with some data but I can't see any map in the google map cluster element.
