How to active Extension Objects on QlikView Server ?

Hello,

I work on a QlikView SBE 11.2 SR6 on Windows server 2008 R2 with IIS 7

I use several extensions (from different editors) with my Qvw.

Everything is fine on local client, but when I try to publish it on the server, no extensions are displayed.(no error messages)

It's seems to be similar to a folder problem but I'ave already checked it twice (I've installed the Qar on both folder (Server and Local). And I've already tried to copy extensions files from the Local folder (which works) to the server's one (see attached screen capture).

Is there anything to do in order to activate QlikView Object extensions on a Server ?

Regards

I found the solution :

I’ve deleted (set to empty) the extensions objects alternative folder path and now it’s ok.

(My Extensions objects are in the default folder path).

it doesn't sound very intuitive for me but it works

thanks anyway for your help

Hi Bertrand,

please check the QMC (QlikView Management Console) in
System -> Setup -> QlikView Server and select your running server
Under tab Folders there is an Alternate Extension Folder. Anything entered there?
Next check the Security tab and the lowest part "Miscellaneous"
Is Allow Extensions activated?

Hi Lars,

Yes, there is the default folder in the alternate Extension Folder (you can see it in the attached file Qmc settings above), I've also checked that the Extension object files are in this folder.

And Yes, the allow extensions settings is on (see below).

Any other idea ?

Extensions Work only in Ajax and Web view. Are you by any chance using IE plug-in client
