How to open QAR file?

I have a .qar file that I want to edit, but I've tried renaming it to a zip file and I still can't open it.  Does anyone have any advice on how to be able to edit this extension?

do you mean an extension?

open with 7-zip, winrar, ......

Dear Robert,

You can double click on it and Qlikview should place the files here :

C:\Users\<user> \AppData\Local\QlikTech\QlikView\Extensions

Thanks guys, I just had to be able to change it to a .zip file by changing some folder options in the control panel
