Reccomendation to enter qlikview extensions world?

I would appreciatte some reccomendations to initiate developing qlikview extensions. We would like to develop a chart extension with our own maps (ndustrial maps of our factory), and get some interactive data over it.
you can also check an existing extension (svg map) at the link below. this extension gives you the ability to load custom svg maps. i remember a post about converting autocad drawings into svg files for use with this extension. so may be instead of trying to create your own extension, you may be able to leverage this extension for your factory maps. good luck!
