We are trying to build an ad hoc report based on the methodology in the "What's New in QlikView 11" application, but we're running into an issue where the Send to Excel function doesn't work very well. If you look at the Reports tab in QlikView's application and enable Send to Excel on the primary chart, then select several dimensions and expressions, you can see the big performance hit when trying to export.
I imagine this is because every dimension and expression is conditional and they need to be re-evaluated during the export? In any case, we are looking for some way to keep ad hoc reporting but also keep Excel exports practical.
