I have a simple line chart that has dates on dimension axis and sales on y-axis.
I get the chart drawn, but it cuts off after a certain date. It does not show me the entire trend chart over time. I have Size to Data selected, Allow Move/Size selected.
Typically, when I resize my charts, the last data point squeezes in always, but in this case I have to extend the chart all the way to the right.
I don't want to use the X-axis scrollbar as this will be printed in a report as PDF distribution, so it is important to have the chart fit FYTD data in a small space.
I also updated the Max values shows to 365 and it still doesn't show more than 100 data points for the dates
Select the object, and then press CTRL+SHIFT.
Now, you will see the different parts of the object in red squares. Keeping these keys pressed, you can resize these parts.
If I reduce the app, I lose the data I need. I can resize on Year, Quarter, Month, Week, but not on date.
If you have a Day field, try to select one Day, so you will reduce, for example, all the data for the 1st day of each month...
How long is the size?
The problem is that I am unable to show more than 100 data points on the chart. I try increasing the max values shown, but it doesn’t help. That’s the root cause. I know there is a 500 data point limitation with Block Chart, so don’t know if there is a similar 100 data point limitation/bug with line and bar graphs.
If I do X-axis scrollbar, I see them all.
Ops, these are a lot of data points!!
Did you have tried tilding "Allow thin bars" and "Show all bars" boxes in Presentation of the object?
