Dimension Labels Hide

Hi Community,

I want to Hide dimensions labels,

let say , i have a bar chart, with one dimension product, and one expression sum({1}values)

let say,Dimension having values ProductA, ProductB, ProductC, ProductD.

now i want to show only labels of dimension, which are selected,

let say ProductA is selected, so i want to show only ProductA Label, and want to hide other all labels which are ProductB, ProductC, ProductD, but the bars will be shown for all , as i am using sum({1}values).

i think you got it,....

Idea Please....

Hi Khan,

It is working for Vertical Orientation also, just click on chart and Press Ctrl + shift and drag the chart from left to right.  So that you will see the axis.

Please find attached file.  Hope it helps you.

Regards,

Jagan.

Hi,

maybe you could set ' ' as dimension label and a value as datapoint.

where should i set this, if want to talk about dimension tab>>label, then it will only hide the Heading of Dimension,

but not the values, as ProructA, ProductB...

But, I think you cannot hide the value with a calculated dimension or move the dimension label (ctrl+shift).

Maybe you could add leading spaces for the non selected product....

but I have no other ideas..

ITS NOT CALCULATED DIMENSION...

when nothing is selected, it should show all labels, but when 1 is selected then only that should be.

Is it really necessary to hide the other product names?

Why not use color or shading to emphasize the selected product?

You could use, for example, the following background color expression:

IF(SubStringCount(Concat(DISTINCT [Dimension],'|'),[Dimension])=1,RGB(255,0,0))

In fact.

Maybe you could use the text color or with a text box over the dimensions...

Hi Khan,

I think it is not possible even I tried with Dimension - Text Color but it only works for Straight/Pivot tables, there is no such setting and work around.  Let's see any other users have any ideas.

Hi ,

Have you tried using the below stuff

=GetFieldSelections(DimensionName) in the dimension

Or with text on axis and something like

dual(

if(Product=getFieldSelections(Product), Product, ' '),

sum({1} Sales)

)
