Display a cross in QlikView

Hi,

I have the requirement to implement in a few of my apps a "safety cross" - that is a cross, made from many boxes, each carrying the nr. of one day of the month (so that all 28+ days of the month are represented) where every "day_box" can change its colour if there has been an accident on that day.

We have something like that in one app already, but it is made from a multitude of individual textboxes as I said, which makes it near impossible to change the size of this thing ... to the effect that the screen "jumps" quite a bit when switching from any other sheet to the one with this display.

<=> Is there any way to build this other than using a lot of individual textboxes - or at least to connect them all so that I can change
the size of the whole cross more easily?

Thanks a lot!

Best regards,

Hi,

you could use a synthetical dimension with ValueList() or ValueLoop() or use the Calendar heatmap extension from Stefan Walther: Calendar Heatmap QlikView Extension (D3CalendarView)

Hi Ralf,

well, extensions for one are not an option here: I don't have admin_rights on my own laptop and there's no way I can get IT to install some extension - or anything, for that matter - on the server.

I'll try the other ones.

Thanks a lot!

What about something like this Square Pie:

Yep, another very good idea. Only - can you think of a way I can make that into the form of a cross?

I can't think of a way to get 31 locations into a cross, using the Square Pie "logic" or not..

The closest I can get is something like this, using four objects:

A tiny 'cheat' but well done! Oscar Ortiz

That looks quite close to what I need, yeah.

Would you mind telling me how you did it? Then I can judge whether this will meet my requirements.

Thank you all anyway!
