Hi All
In a chart which has say monthname(dateOfX) as the x axis - is it possible to have a line or something to signify today's date?
This is probably a bad example, but I hope you understand what I mean.
Jo
Hello, Josephine.
I also had this problem and found the solution. When you check the continuous option you can go to the Number Tab and you'll see on the Expression table an entry called "Continuous X-axis" which enable you to choose the correct number format:
Then you can use whatever format you'd like.
Best Regards,
Luis Franco
May be something like this:
You can try with reference lines on the presentation tab.
Hi Sunny T
Cannot believe it is that easy ... Thank you.
Jo
No problem. I am glad I was able to help (although I did not even get helpful for my response )
My bad, I got Correct Now
I sometimes find I am in the incorrect screen for simple things like mark helpful or correct or when I want to download a topic as a pdf.
And … sometimes I think – who am I to mark “correct” ☺
Jo
I knew I should never had said easy ...
problem:
the x axis has the formula: Monthname(dateOfActivity) - in order to use the today() I need to make the x axis "continuous" and then the x axis decides to display as a number!
I can actually get it to work with today() - 30 to get last month!
but ... is there any way to fix the date display?
Jo
One more option is go to the Presentation Tab -> Test in chart .
You can write today there and you can adjust today any where in the Chart.
Yes, that is indeed a problem and I am not sure if I know a work around. May be re-open this thread by unmarking the correct answer and wait for another response. I am sure there might be a macro that you might be able to use, but I am just not aware of one to suggest you.
i think i hae opened it up for discussion again ...
