Input Box

Hi All,

I'm currently exploring the capabilities of the input box of qlikview.

Here are my objects and fields:

1. Input box

2. List box: Month,Year

3. Pivot or Straight Table: Values

Input box/field = [input number]

Month = Jan, Feb, March, ..., Dec

Year = 2011, 2012

Table:

DateValueInput Field
1/2/201110x
2/2/20113x
4/1/20125x
5/2/20125x

Is it possible if I select a Mont [March], and then I input in the Input box = 5

It will populate only 5/2/2012 in the input field with the value 5.'

And let's say it is month end for a specific date, the inputted fields will be locked

and only the dates up to date are the only one can be edited.

Thanks 😃

How can it give when you are having two values for 5  4/1/2012/ and 5/2/2012.

Can you please send a sample?

Hi,

Those values are only examples. What I wanted to do is, select a specific month & year, and when I input a value in the input box, it will reflect in the specific field in the table.

e.g:

Input Box (Value) = 12/12/12

Month (selected) = May

Year Selected = 2012

output:

DateValueInput Field
1/2/201110x
2/2/20113x
4/1/20125x
5/2/2012512/12/12

So when you will use input box there will be a variable and thwn you just call that variable in your output table or chart in its expression.

Hope it helps!!

It will still effect the other fields. Even though I have filtered the output and typed in the input box, when the filtering is cleared, it shows that the input field is still inputted in the other values.
