I have a combo chart with multiple expressions and few of them are grouped together. It has Fast Change option enabled so that users can see the numbers as well. Please see the attached example.
When users change cycle (to change the expression),everything works fine.
Issue comes when combo chart is fast changed to straight table. After changing to straight table if users change the cycle for different expression and then come back to Combo chart, then bars also show up along with the lines. We do not want to show these bars along with lines. See 2nd pic. Please see attached QV test file also. Your suggestions are very much appreciated.
Fast Change has its limitations, and this is not the only one. May times the graphical chart makes sense in a certain way, while the textual chart, such as a Straight table, looks strange with the same settings... The work around it is have a container and keep two distinct objects - the Combo Chart with its set of settings, and the Straight Table with a different set of settings.
Even though it's a bit more work, you become completely free in your choice of expressions, dimensions, colors, other visualizations that you couldn't implement within the boundaries of a single object.
Hello Krishnamoorthy, thanks for looking into it. Not sure why you are not able to produce this. I am using QV9 SR^. Maybe you are using different version ? Are you able to see issue in my attached file ?
In Expressions tab of Chart Properties window, make sure that you have checked only one box in Display Options section for each expression (even for the expressions grouped in the cyclic expression). This may solve the problem.
