Lebel for Totals in Pivot table

Hi All, Hope you are doing great.

I have this minor issue which I am not getting right. In my below chart (see image), I have values for whole 2011 but only till Sep in
2012. So while doing sum, I want to display YTD Total during the current month else just the Total (as in 2011). I tried many functions/conditions but maybe
it is not my day today .  Any suggestions? Thanks for your help in advance.

May be i am not understanding your question correctly..can you please eloborate may be with any intended/expected results..

For the Total Lebel shown for 2012, I want it to be shown as "YTD Total". BUt for 2011, it should stay same i.e "Total" only.

I just want to change the Total lebel for current year as "YTD Total".

Hi Phani,

Thanks lot for your solution. only your 2nd option suits my requirement. BUt I have much complex data model where year/months are dynamic and it will require lot of effort to do in script since I have to tweak the whole data model. Is there any way you know ( in chart properties) by which we can achieve this? Thanks nuch.

Not that i know of...I tried with the chart properties, but it wont work since even thought if you write conditional expression for the total label it wont take it for current month/year...so it has to be done as stated above...

But even the second solution is also not that bad..u can add that to your calender and use that new field..

Example i have used an Inline table but if you have master calendar  it would be easy..
