Pivot Table Behaviour

Hi

I have a fairly straight-forward pivot table (simple calculated dimensions).

If I scroll down and expand a column of the pivot, I skip back to the top of the table, rather than stay in the same scroll position.

I have check the Preserve Scroll Postion box on the Layout tab of the Chart Object.

What am I doing wrong ?

Have you checked the Settings > User Preferences > Objects tab - at the bottom?

If that is also selected, then substitute the calculated dimensions for plain ones and see if you still have the issue.

Hope this helps,

Jason

Hi Jason

Yes, the User Preferences are set correctly.

I'm not sure about your comment on calculated dimensions. I suspect this might be a problem (I've experienced this type of behaviour before) but cannot see a way to eliminate them from my chart table - or are you suggesting eliminate them, just while tracking down the problem?

Regards

Richard

Yes - that's what I'm suggesting. The erroneous behaviour may be due to the calculated dimensions.  If that is the case - can you move the calculations into the script, or are they based on current selections?

Thanks. I quickly tried your suggestion, but it made no difference. I cannot make the calculations in the script for the reason you say, so I will delve further into the dimension issue.

Try recreating the pivot tables from scratch – they may have become corrupted. I am using this feature with no problems so far. V11 SR2

Good idea. The table has had alot of development and on a precious occasion re-creating a table did sort out a similar issue with scrolling.

Thanks
