Pivot Table - Change Expression titles - labels - by expression value

Hi Guys,

Please see the qvw attached.

I should be able to set different labels in Expression 3 following the values in field Measurement#.

I am using the script below.  The label should be different for each "Measurement#", but I get the value "Other" in all cases.

Picture1.jpg

=If( Measurement# ='M1'

              ,'Calc 1'

              ,If( Measurement# ='M2'

                      ,'Calc 2'

                      ,'Other'

                 )

   )

What's missing?

Thanksin advance,

Aldo.

I believe the label expression is just not sensitive to Measurement#, i.e. the current dimension values.

If you pivot your second dimension to the left, you will also see a reason why: What label should be displayed?

You may be able to achieve something similar than what you intend to do now by creating an additional dimension that holds your expression labels, and then use one expression with a pick / match combination to select the expression needed.

Hi Stefan,

Thanks for your answer.

How to use pick / match combinations ?

Is there any chance you send some script or an example in the qvw?

Aldo.
