Report > Page Settings > Banding > printing field value in page headline

Hello QVer,

I have a report with Banding > "loop page over possible values in field".

In report settings > Header/Footer > Center section I'm editing

='Text' & $(vFieldValue)

hoping that for each printed page I'm automatically getting the field value in headline.

But it isn't so; only a formerly selected value will appear in headline.

So I have to print each page manually step by step for each selected field value.

Is there a solution to do that automatically? Thanks.

Hi,

You can try something like adding a text box with =only(bandedfieldname) in it.  Not sure if this could be put directly in the header or footer text ...

Or perhaps try defining the variable as something similar ...

$(vFieldValue) = '=only(fieldname)';

Hope that helps ...

You can now use Page Settings -> Settings -> Use Introduction and Appendix

This allows you to add a section to the top of each page for dynamic fields etc.
