Slider Value Movement

Hi,

I have used a slider in my report. The little description of my slider are as follows.

Ranges = 0-5

Increment = 0.1

I have a Gauge showing the total revenue generated based on a constant. Now I want to move that constant value from 0.1 to 5.0 so that I can forecast the revenue based on different values ... I m not getting a way to do that.

Please suggest any idea.

Hi,

    To achieve

    0     0.5     1     1.5     2     2.5     3     3.5     4     4.5     5

    You can do following changes to your slider..

    Go to Properties -> Presentation ->Click on Use custom scale -> Set values 31 major units

    labels on every 3 major units, 0 for minor units on major units

    Hope it will help you

           I am telling you what i understood from u r question. You mean to say that the limits of guage should vary according to the actual value...

           Please tell me in details.

Hi...

After few hours of trying I think I achieve what I want.

What I did.

1 - Create Variable

2 - Create Slider Object.

3 - Added Variable in the Slider Object, Mode - Single Value, Contiguous Value Mode

4 - Set Range , Min = 0, Max = 5, Static Step = 0.1

I got the slider but not the way I looking for. My desired look is...

0     0.5     1     1.5     2     2.5     3     3.5     4     4.5     5

With 0 to 0.5

0     0.1     0.2     0.3     0.4     0.5

and so on.... How to achieve this ?

I need to change the value of Gauge representing total revenue generate with the respective change in the value of slider.

Whenever I reopen my QVW, the scale of slider get changed automatically and resets to default.

Please show me a way to make it fix.

If you will not save the document before closing it, it will go to default.

save the document after selecting one value and then close and reopen..

this will work try.
