Hi,
I have an app where there is rather a lot of data to display - approx. 228.000 rows with about 40 fields.
I have a straight_table_diagram to display detail data and without any selections, the memory of my machine is just about maxed out.
Generally, I guess in a straight table it is good practice to use as dimensions only just as many fields as you need to uniquely identify one record and use the remainder as expressions, no?
<=> I would like to enable the user to sort the data by whatever column is of interest - without having to export the whole thing back into
Excel.
I guess, though, that these work only for the dimensions. So, if I want those indicators on a few columns, I have to make all of those into dimensions, thereby totally changing the order of the fields ...
Is there any way around this dilemma?
Thanks a lot!
Best regards,
DataNibbler
Sorting for a straight table works for any column - both dimensions and expressions....
Just wondering - what is the practical use of a table with 228K rows .
