Experts,
I am having some design issue with the straight table.
I am using custom style stripes for my straight table to show every even row in gray and add row in White color. Now my problem is when even I add new dimension or expression this stripes feature is not applying to the newly added field.
someone please help.
I tried work around solution, sometimes that is working and sometimes not. I want straight solution for that. Am i missing anything here?
Thanks
Kesav
Thank you for everyone's reply. special thanks to rwunderlich
I followed everyone's suggestions and finally able to solve my issues.
These are the steps which I followed.
1. Add new dimension or Expression to straight table
2. Go to chart Properties -> Style change Current style from Custom to Light and select stripes for every 1 row.
3. Click Apply and OK
4. Right click on the field header and go to Custom Format Cell ( To see custom format cell enable QV -> View -> Design Grid)
5. Change the colors as below
Back ground color: RGB(230,230,230)
Thanks

Any help from nay one?
Can you post the expression you are using to set the background colour.
I was trying in attached qvw, its working for newly added dim and exp as well, I am having QV12.
I cannot see any attachment , it may be held for moderation. Can you just post the expression.
But for the existing straight table there nothing explicitly mentioned as back ground color. its using as Custom style and Strip rows is "1".
When I try to add new dimension or expression that particular column doesn't have any stripes.
to achieve this I am using workaround solution.
The workaround solution I was using as background color is
=IF(Even(RowNo()),RGB(245,245,245),White())
I am not ready to use this work around. I want to use the existing cutom style but not sure how to use that and where to find that Custom style.
Please help!
Thanks

BTW.. I am using Qlikview version : QV 11.20 SR9
Are the stripes showing correctly if you use one of the "Pyjama" styles when you change dimensions or expression?
The style is not pretty but may indicate if the error is in your custom style or elsewhere.
Try changing the style type from Custom to Light.

I think expression is not making difference. I just kept Styling mode 'advanced' and color scheme as Custom in document properties and having 'light' in current style of Straight table. Its working fine for me.
