Suppress missings from second dimension

How do I show only all values for the first dimension (Month Year)?

So not the blank line for product. Anyone an idea?

Hi Elke,

Depending on your expressions, you should go to the chart properties, Dimensions tab, and for all dimensions click on the "Suppress When Value Is Null". If that works, that may be caused because your data model has more dates that are not in the chart, but nor properly filtered (i.e: not using set analysis for each year month). That should do.

Hope that helps.

Expressions are structured like the following

Sum ({<Year={$(v_Max_NTS_Year)}>}LU)

Elke,

Then the table only has one dimension that is Product? Did you click the Supress When Value Is Null?

No it has 2 dimensions. Product and MonthYear.

For MonthYear the options Suppress when value is null and Show all values is on.

For Product not because when selection suppress when value is null dec 2011 disappear.

Hi Elke,

That is the issue. If you want to show at all times all months, even when they don't have sales (because we are in January, and there are still no sales for December) you can use a conditional, so

If(Sum(Field) <> 0, Sum(Field), 0)

It will take longer to display the chart, specially when the data volume is large. But those null values are "normal", that means that, for the selection done in either set analysis or the document, there is no data related (and you are forcing the value to be displayed).

Hope that makes sense.
