how to lock field from being erased

Hi,

In the sample application - Financial Controlling.

The value in Language is always preloaded but not using onLOAD. and no matter how you click the eraser icon the value canot be cleared.

Does anyone know how to do this?

Hi Nick,

Try in any document with a listbox. Select one value, and click on "Lock" in the toolbar. Do as many selections as you want: the value locked will never change, and will not be cleared. This usually is marked in blue, as selections are in green.

Yes, i know about the lock function.

but i'm just couldn't find out how did that FI controlling example do it without using lock.

Hi Nick,

I don't have the file so I may be missing something. The other option is that the field is set to have always one value selected. These fields are not cleared either. You can check the listbox to see whether the checkbox appears as ticked or not.

Hi

Perhaps that field is set to only "Always One Selected Value". Check the list box properties. This also prevents the field selection from being cleared.
