selection without keys

Hello Togehter,

I have a idea to solve a specific problem and dont know if that would ever be realized in Qlikview ?

I want to demonstrate you my problem with the basis of the example sketch.

First I select some values from the two tables above. The values above are selected. So far so good.

The desired behavior is now, that the 2 previously selected tables above to makes the selection

to the lower Table (Green and Red Values) ? Is it possible ?

I am looking for a alternative way without to link the tables with keys.

I am very thankful for any help .
Best Regards,

Ok, I think I understand your requirement. There were a few methods referenced in that thread, you need the one that considers the possibles.

='=sum({<SID_KOSTENSTELLEN=P(KST_KOSTENSTELLE)>} 1)'

See attached example.

This is possible. Two different approaches.

1. If you want to just logically associate the fields without actually selecting in the second table, use the "data island" approach (search the forum if you're not familar with it).

2. If you want to make an actual selection in table two, use an action as discussed in this thread.

Hi Rob,

thanks for these good two advices.

I like the second option that you proposed quite well. But somehow it will not works !

I want to click on a blue highlighted value and want a automatic selection to the SID Table.

Unfortunately, I cant link the (green) fields with a key, because otherwise I risk a circular reference.

Can you please have a look out my example qvw ?

Thank you very much !
