CAL LastUsed vs Last Session in Log

Hi,

This is a License/Development question, so wasn't 100% sure which section to ask it in.

We use a number of Named CAL Licences and would like to know the difference in the CAL "LastUsed" property, refer:

https://help.qlik.com/en-US/qlikview-developer/12.1/apis/QMS%20API/html/P_PIX_QMSAPI_DataObjects_CAL...

Compared to what is actually in the Session Logs.

We have seen quite a few cases where the CAL "LastUsed" date timestamp is much later than the last session timestamp. Eg, the "LastUsed" date timestamp for one user will say 2017-03-17 however when looking in the session log, the user's last active session was back on 2017-03-01.

Is there a reason for this discrepancy?

Thanks,

If you have not been using the AccessPoint to open any document, then it makes sense that the LastUsed date happens later in time than the Last Session, as you are leasing the license, but not actually creating a session in the QlikView Server.

Leases? They are being verified every time a user starts QV Desktop...

Oh I have overlooked this. Yes, of course the lease for the QV Desktop would update the LastUsed property.

Thanks to both you you.
