Can the execution of a reload be triggered off of the completion of another reload?

I have a QVW reload that is dependent on a QVD reload finishing (we need the updated data to get into the QlikView Report).  The QVD appends new data each day, so over time, the load takes longer and longer.  Right now, I have enough time scheduled between when the QVD seems to finish and when the QVW starts reloading, but was wondering if there is a way to "link" two reloads so that the second one starts when the first one completes.  So for example, if my QVD reload finishes at 8:20, immediately start the QVW reload at 8:20.  If the next day the QVD reload finishes at 8:24, immediately start the QVW reload at 8:24.

You should be able to do this, but it depends on your version and licensing how it done.

If you have a publisher license, then would change the "Start the task" setting to "On Event from another task" under the Triggers tab.

If you aren't using publisher, then change the radio button on the Reload tab to "On Event of another task".

This should be the same for both version 9 and 10.

Good luck,

B
